7 Natural Skin Care Recipes

healthy food for skin

Unfortunately, most people suffer from acne at an early age.

Describing the treatments, creams, potions and prescriptions out there to treat acne would take pages! Options include everything from serums that run closer to $100 for less than 2oz. to drug store acne treatments have made their way to medicine cabinets around the world.

And while all of those products claim they can solve acne, some of them just make it worse. That’s why so many people have stopped using conventional skin care products cold turkey, even if they were all-natural.  Instead, I’ve been trying homemade acne treatment regimens with a lot of success.

If you think it is too hard to figure out how to treat your skin naturally, don’t worry! We have created a perfect little home cookbook of natural skin care recipes that will have your skin looking amazing in no time, naturally.

All Natural Skin Care Recipes

Evening Oil Cleanse

Many people have reservations about spreading oil all over their face, especially if they already have very oily skin. It can take a lot of courage to try oil cleansing, but so many people love it! It thoroughly removes makeup and gives a really soft complexion. Oil cleansing has also been shown to normalize oil production and doesn’t make skin produce more oil (like soap does!)

Morning Honey Cleanse

Wash your face with honey, some people do this every single morning! Dampen your fingers and massage raw honey (about 1/2 teaspoon) onto dry skin before rinsing. Honey is antibacterial and keeps new breakouts from forming; it also removes extra oil from the skin while acting as a natural moisturizer.

Apple Cider Vinegar Toner

Another good recipe is to every morning and evening, spray your face with a mixture that is 2/3 [easyazon_link identifier=”B00016XJ4M” locale=”US” nw=”y” nf=”y” tag=”freshfaceclub-20″ cart=”y” cloak=”y” localize=”y” popups=”y”]witch hazel[/easyazon_link] (alcohol-free) and 1/3 raw apple cider vinegar. Apple cider contains acids that exfoliate the skin and balance the pH of the skin to keep acne away. The toner also causes the natural oil that your skin will create to dissolve quickly.

Acne Facial Oil

For facial oil, use a twist of Crunchy Betty’s version. Into one ounce of [easyazon_link identifier=”B00GJX58PE” locale=”US” nw=”y” nf=”y” tag=”freshfaceclub-20″ cart=”y” cloak=”y” localize=”y” popups=”y”]jojoba oil[/easyazon_link], combine one to two drops of carrot seed oil, three drops of lavender oil and three drops of geranium oil. After moistening your face with the toner, warm a little of the oil and massage it right into your skin.

Cinnamon Spot Treatment

For a great spot treatment for pimples use a combination of honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. Combine raw honey and cinnamon to make a paste, sprinkle in fresh nutmeg, and store the treatment in a small container in the bathroom. When it’s time use it, leave the spot treatment on for a few hours. However, if you want to use this as a facial mask, only leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes.

Baking Soda Exfoliation Treatment

Since this treatment is geared towards those who really suffer from acne, it is smart to use it no more than once a week. In order to make it, a mix a paste of baking soda and water and apply it directly to your face, chest and back. For best results, leave the mixture on for a few minutes and rinse it off in the shower. This treatment dries up blackheads and helps even the skin tone. Plus, it’s cheap!

Enessa Clove Acne Control

For very severe cystic acne, one of the very best things you can do is to use Enessa Clove Acne Control to clear it up. For so many who suffer, it’s one of the few topical treatments that gets rid of cystic acne, virtually overnight. Keep an extra bottle around if you are someone who suffers cystic acne because you’ll find it invaluable. The treatment contains a blend of clove and other sensual oils in a jojoba oil base.

These natural acne treatments may seem a little outlandish, but they’re definitely not crazier than covering the face in chemicals that could be harmful. Using spot treatments, keeping the hormones balanced, normalizing skin oil production and exfoliating, along with acupuncture, are safe and effective solutions for acne.
